Biography

Dr. Amit Verma is M.Sc Physics, M.Tech in Laser Sciences and PhD in Physics-Quantum Optics. He has joined Jaypee Education System in 2004 and worked at JUET Guna (2 years), JIIT Noida Main campus (5 years) and JIIT Noida wish town campus (since 2011). Currently he has 21 years of teaching and research experience, more than 19 research papers in international journal and 25 papers/abstract/ presentations in International conferences. He has completed one DST project (amount 2.22 crore) as CO-PI in 2022. He guided 3 PhD students (1 ongoing) and many BTech/MTech students (more than 10) in the field of Quantum optics, Quantum computing and Laser Sciences. He has developed 5 core/elective courses on Lasers, Quantum Information technology, Integrated Optics and Applied Physics. He has also developed online content (64 video lectures) of two Engineering Physics courses at digital learning centre of JIIT. His areas of research interests are nonclassical phenomena of light, quantum information processing, quantum computing and Laser sciences. He is a life member of Indian Laser Association (ILA) and Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).
