Biography

Dr. Juhi Gupta holds a B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and brings over 20 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, and development. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, a Member of IEEE Women in Engineering and a Life Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). Her career reflects a consistent pursuit of academic excellence, research innovation, and technological advancement in wireless communications and intelligent systems. In the field of teaching, Dr. Gupta has taught a wide array of subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her academic portfolio encompasses approximately 20 diverse courses, ranging from foundational topics to advanced specializations. These include Deep Learning for Multimedia, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Radio, Information and Coding Theory, Mobile Communication, Telecommunication Networks, Communication Systems, Signals and Systems, Analog and Digital Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Python for Signal Processing Lab, 5G Advanced Communication Lab, Telecommunication Networks Lab (NS2), ECE Design and Simulation Lab, Communication Systems Lab, Basic Electronics Lab, MATLAB, among others. Her expertise and research interests span across multiple emerging and interdisciplinary domains, including Visible Light Communications, Free Space Optical Communications, Game Theory, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Security and Privacy of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Wireless Channel Modeling, Cooperative Communications, Optimization, Convex Optimization, Ad-hoc Networks, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). She has authored around 30 research publications, including high-impact international journal papers published in IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer, and numerous papers in reputed international conferences. She actively contributes to the research community as a reviewer for prestigious international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Access, IEEE Wireless Communication Letters, International Journal of Electronics, Telecommunication Systems (Springer), Wireless Personal Communications, and Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier), among others.

Research Highlights

She is a leading researcher in wireless communications, optical networks, AI-driven networking, and UAV security. She serves as Principal Investigator at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on “UAV and Border Security”, where she leads pioneering work in UAV network security, culminating in a patent grant. Her research includes 30+ SCIE/Scopus-indexed publications in high-impact journals such as IEEE Internet of Things, Computer Networks (Elsevier), and Wireless Communications Letters (IEEE). Her recent works span intelligent UAV relay positioning, privacy in Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) with massive MIMO, federated learning with game-theoretic strategies, and secure FSO-VLC IoT architectures under unknown CSI. She integrates blockchain for healthcare and IoMT security, AI for 6G UAV communications, and advanced optimization/game theory for next-generation communication networks. With a vision of secure, AI-enhanced communication infrastructures, her work bridges theoretical innovation and practical deployment, driving advances in defense, healthcare IoT, and sustainable smart networks.
