Biography

Dr. Parmeet Kaur is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & IT at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra in 2016, M.Tech(Computer Science) from Kurukshetra University and a B.E. (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering from PEC Chandigarh. With over 22 years of experience in academics, Dr. Kaur has been engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, mentoring and curriculum development. She has developed and recorded lectures for a course on Distributed Computing for Digital Learning Centre at JIIT Noida. Dr. Kaur has contributed to scholarly literature through more than 80 publications in international journals, conferences and book chapters. She is also the co‐editor of a book in the domain of big data. Four scholars have been awarded PhD under her supervision till date in the fields of cloud computing, data analytics and data privacy. Apart from the academic responsibilities, Dr. Kaur is engaged in administrative tasks, including coordination of PhD program, OBE documentation tasks, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) etc. at JIIT Noida

Dr. Parmeet Kaur’s research explores distributed computing, cloud-fog-edge architectures, big data systems and data privacy. Her work focuses on building scalable and robust data processing solutions for decentralized environments. Her research works have focused on fault tolerance, federated learning and privacy-preserving frameworks for sensitive data in distributed environments.
