Dr. Pinky Singh joined the Department of Chemistry at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology during February 2025, as Guest Faculty. Before her appointment at JIIT, she worked as Scientist-D in the Herbal Division of Patanjali Research Foundation (Earlier Patanjali Research Institute) at Haridwar, from 2023-25. Earlier, she was on Postdoctoral work as a Direct CSIR-Research Associate at Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, during 2018-2022. She has also worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow in Schulich Faculty of Chemistry at Israel Institute of Technology, Technion, Israel where she worked with Prof. Zeev Gross lab (on Corrole) during 2011-2012. For her academic degrees, Dr. Singh obtained a Master of Science in Chemistry (2003) from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and Ph.D. in 2011 from Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in the field of tetrapyrrole macrocyclic ligands especially corrole and their metal complexes. She is also a recipient of CSIR JRF and SRF (2005 and 2008) awards during her PhD. Her Research interest lies in NMR, EPR, UV–Vis, Chromatography, IR, fluorescence, mass spectrometry and electrochemical analysis. She also has experience in Single crystal X-ray structural solution and analysis, handling of air and moisture sensitive compounds using standard Schlenk line technique, computational modelling at different levels of theory using the Gaussian package. She has also experience of working at Pollution Control Research Institute in Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (B.H.E.L) Haridwar during 2004.
