Biography

Dr. Shelendra Pal is a dedicated academician, researcher, and mentor, currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) in the Department of Computer Applications at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar, and brings with him more than 14 years of teaching and research experience, along with over four years of corporate exposure at organizations such as Honeywell Technology Solutions and R.M. InfoTech. This unique combination of academic and industrial experience allows him to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with both conceptual clarity and practical problem-solving skills.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pal has taught at esteemed institutions including Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, and Invertis University. He has guided postgraduate and undergraduate projects, supervised doctoral scholars, and contributed to curriculum development, reflecting his deep commitment to academic excellence and student growth.

His research interests span Object-Oriented Programming, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Biomedical Applications of Computational Intelligence. He has published impactful research in reputed international journals and conferences, many indexed in SCI and Scopus, and serves as a reviewer for various scholarly platforms.

Dr. Pal is the author of two books—Design and Analysis of Algorithms and Python Programming for Professionals—and holds multiple patents in machine learning–based cancer detection and biomedical systems. A life member of ISTE, CSI, IAENG, and IRED, he continues to inspire innovation, foster research, and nurture the next generation of computer scientists.
