Biography

Dr. Pankaj Singh Rana currently serves as Assistant Professor (Grade - I) in the Department of Mathematics at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He earned his PhD in Mathematical Biology from NIT Uttarakhand, Srinagar (Garhwal) in 2022. During his doctoral studies, he published several research articles in prestigious refereed journals indexed in WoS, SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus.

Dr. Rana completed his BSc (PCM) and MSc in Mathematics at HNB Garhwal University (A Central University), Uttarakhand. He has qualified multiple competitive exams: IIT JAM (2014), CSIR NET (2017), GATE (2018, 2019), U SET (2018), and HP SET (2019).

His teaching experience includes positions at Doon University, Dehradun (a State Government University); NIT Kurukshetra; and Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT), Kanpur. He delivered an expert talk and presented his research at several National and International conferences.

With a strong academic profile and extensive research experience in mathematical biology, modeling, and analysis, Dr. Rana is dedicated to nurturing a love for mathematics and equipping his students with the skills to excel in their academic pursuits.

His research lies in Mathematical Biology, specifically in mathematical modeling of diseases. He has contributed to academic community with research articles published in prestigious peer- reviewed journals indexed in WoS, SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus. His work focuses on mathematical modeling of the infectious diseases, stability analysis, optimal control, bifurcation analysis etc., including diseases such as HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, TB, with an emphasis on vaccination and treatment control strategies.
