Biography

Mahima Mukhija is an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, Main Campus. Her research explores individual and strategic decision-making under incomplete information. Her Ph.D. thesis is centered around the effect of information regarding the time needed to complete a task on procrastination. She uses both theoretical and experimental approaches for her study. She is interested in applied theory, experimental economics, behavioral economics and their applications in industrial organization.

She has worked as a teaching fellow at Ashoka University for Monsoon 2024 and Spring 2025. She has also worked as a graduate assistant at Ashoka University for numerous courses at the undergraduate and graduate level including courses like Microeconomics, Game Theory, Mathematics for Economics, Experimental Economics, Economics of Information and Organisational Economics.

She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Ashoka University, Masters in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and Bachelors in Economics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
