Biography

Dr. Alok Kumar Singh is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Grade-I) in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, since July 2025. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, an M.A. in Economics, a B.Ed., and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics. With more than four years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Singh has cultivated a strong foundation in economic theory and applied research. His academic interests lie in areas such as development economics, education economics, and public policy. He is committed to fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among students and his research contributions reflect a dedication to addressing contemporary socio-economic challenges through scholarly inquiry.

Dr. Alok Kumar Singh is an academic and researcher specializing in Development Economics, with a strong focus on marginalized communities. His research spans the intersections of the Economics of Education and Sustainable Development, alongside critical studies on caste, inequality, and social exclusion.
