Biography

Dr Harleen Kaur is working in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. She is the Chapter Head of ELTAI-NCR-Greater Noida Chapter. Communication, Non-verbal Communication, Creative Writing, Soft Skills and training students for GD and PI are her areas of expertise.

Dr Kaur has authored 25 books, which are published by Cambridge University Press, UK and Atlantic Publishers. Dr Kaur has 02 copyrights and 14 research papers to her credit. She has organised many conferences, webinars, panel discussions, FDPs as an organiser. She has been the Resource Person for many invited talks, guest lectures, and plenary speaker for many national/ international conferences/ seminars. Dr Kaur has been a part of many interview panels, including Punjab National Bank. She has mentored many students for their placement drives

Research Highlights

Dr. Harleen Kaur is a prolific academician and researcher with a strong interdisciplinary orientation, evidenced through over 14 research papers, 25 books, and 8 book chapters, many published with SCOPUS and UGC-indexed journals. Her doctoral work on Shakespeare’s History Plays: A Critical Study laid the groundwork for her literary scholarship. She has co-authored notable works including Corporate Communication Unlocked, English Language Teaching: A Modern Approach, and Reframing Shakespeare in the 21st Century. Her research contributions span diverse domains: from post-colonial literature, women's studies, ELT methodologies, to the integration of AI in sustainable practices and digital pedagogy. Key publications include: “Unvoiced Voices of Muslim Women Writers in South Asia” (SCOPUS),

“Role of AI in Water Pollution”, and “Enhancing Experiences in Tourism through AR Technologies”. She has presented over 37 papers at reputed national and international conferences and contributed chapters to volumes published by Springer and anthologies on Kafka, Jane Austen, and virtual reality in education. She is supervising two PhD Scholars guiding research in feminist studies, ELT and Communication. Dr. Kaur has chaired and moderated panels at major academic events, including ELTAI and other global platforms. She has organized and coordinated FDPs on Generative AI in Research, Teaching Excellence, Multicultural Communication. Her teaching credentials are reinforced by certifications in over 20 international MOOCs, funded by the U.S. Department of State and University of Leeds on educational technology, career skills, and academic leadership. She has served as Chief Editor of The ELT Practitioner, and remains active in global associations like IATEFL (UK) and TESOL.
