Biography

Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Shukla is currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) at the

Department of Mathematics, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, since July 2023.

He has been awarded Ph.D. in Statistics from the Department of Statistics, Banaras Hindu

University, Varanasi, India, and a Master’s degree in Statistics (Gold Medalist) in 1997. He has worked (about 5 years) as an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics, Eritrea Institute of Technology, Eritrea (N.E. Africa), and having more than 19 years of teaching experience at colleges/ Universities, including International experiences.

He has published more than 130 research papers in International and National reputed Journals.

Research Highlights

Dr. Shukla has a strong research interest in the fields of distribution theory and migration. He has published more than 130 research papers in reputed journals. Recently, he has proposed several new probability distributions, including the Ishita distribution, Pranav distribution, Prakaamy distribution, and Shukla distribution. These contributions have gained significant popularity.

In addition to his work in theoretical statistics, Dr. Shukla has also contributed to applied research in medical sciences. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he applied time series analysis to predict COVID-19 cases in India.
