Dr. Pato Kumari is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. She is recognized for her expertise in mathematical modeling, with a special focus on seismic wave propagation through complex geomedia. She earned her M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, and has authored over 50 research articles in reputed international journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, SAGE, AIP, and ASCE. Her research work has been recognized with awards and has also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Centre for Excellence, Panjab University. Currently, Dr. Kumari leads the DRDO-funded project SEISMAL under the Armament Research Board, Government of India. She has successfully supervised three doctoral theses and one postgraduate dissertation, with another Ph.D. scholar presently under her guidance. An active contributor to the academic community, she has delivered invited and keynote lectures and jointly organized five international conferences in the RAMSA series, editing five Scopus-indexed proceedings in collaboration with the American Institute of Physics (AIP), USA. She is also a reviewer for leading journals from Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, and SAGE. Dr. Kumari is associated with several professional bodies, including the Indian Science Congress Association, the Indian Mathematical Society, and the Von Karman Society for Advanced Mathematics.
