
Professor Reema Gabrani is a Senior Faculty Member in the Department of Biotechnology at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, with over two decades of experience in academia, research, and institutional leadership. She earned her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, following a Master’s in Biotechnology and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Human Biology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She further enhanced her expertise through postdoctoral research in Molecular Virology at the University of Minnesota, USA, gaining international experience.
Since joining JIIT in 2004, Professor Gabrani has made significant contributions to cancer therapeutics, molecular virology, and antimicrobial resistance. Her academic portfolio includes over 100 publications in reputed international journals, several book chapters, and two patents, with successful technology transfers to industry. She has organized the Faculty Development Programme, National and International conferences, fostering collaborative and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
Her vision emphasizes integrating high-impact research with translational outcomes, bridging laboratory innovation with clinical and industrial applications. As an educator and mentor, she inspires students and researchers to pursue innovation, build partnerships, and develop solutions to pressing challenges in health and biotechnology.
