
As an educator and academic leader, my goal is to inspire both students and faculty to cultivate a passion for learning and critical thinking. I strive to create a learner-centric environment in the classroom and actively engage in research and development activities focused on cutting-edge technologies and sustainable development. I am a dedicated educator and researcher with over 23 years of academic experience. Throughout my career, I have designed a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
My academic and research interests include Image Processing and Computer Vision, Software Engineering, and Data Structures. I have authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, including esteemed venues such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE Access, Elsevier Computer Communications, Wiley Software: Practice and Experience (SPE), IET Quantum Communication, Neural Computing and Applications, Expert Systems, and ESA. My work has also been presented at premier conferences such as IEEE ICC, IEEE INFOCOM, and IEEE SIU.
I have supervised eight Ph.D. theses, 25 postgraduate dissertations, and over 140 undergraduate projects, one patent and a CST funded projects . Currently, I am mentoring three Ph.D. scholars. In addition to my research contributions, I serve as a reviewer for several high-impact journals and conferences, including IEEE Geoscience Letters, IEEE Access, and numerous Springer and Elsevier publications.
Since 2008, I have co-organized the prestigious IC3 computing conference alongside Prof. Sartaj Sahni (University of Florida, USA). Beyond my teaching and research responsibilities, I have held various key administrative roles at both departmental and university levels over the past two decades. I have also played a significant role in institutional accreditation and evaluation processes, including NAAC, NBA, UGC, AICTE, and NIRF reviews.
I have been involved in several strategic initiatives such as the Digital Learning Centre and the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Centre, Ramanujan Universe.
I have visited Hongkong, USA, Japan, Singapore & UAE etc for various academic and research related endeavours.
