Dr. Shivani Pant is an accomplished academic and researcher with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, she brings a unique blend of deep theoretical knowledge and practical applications in soft computing, artificial intelligence, and time series forecasting. She has previously worked at IILM University, Greater Noida, and has contributed as a consultant to a research project at IIT Roorkee on optimization studies for hydropower systems. Her academic profile is further strengthened by prestigious achievements including qualifying the CSIR-UGC NET (JRF) and GATE 2018. Her teaching experience spans undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics, and she is known for her commitment to integrating research with pedagogy. She has actively participated in numerous AI and data science workshops across premier institutes. Her core research interests include fuzzy time series forecasting, optimization algorithms, and intelligent systems. She has published widely in journals such as Expert Systems with Applications and Granular Computing, and has presented at multiple international conferences.

Research Highlights
  • Proposed multiple fuzzy time series forecasting models using membership functions, clustering techniques, and high-order fuzzy cognitive maps.
  • Developed weighted fuzzy models using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO), minimizing RMSE in financial datasets.
  • Integrated probabilistic intuitionistic fuzzy sets and Markov models to address temporal and uncertainty aspects in real-world time series.
  • Applied Hesitant and Neutrosophic fuzzy sets to enhance model interpretability and flexibility in uncertain environments.
  • Demonstrated strong computational expertise in Python, translating theoretical models into deployable tools.
  • Currently exploring hybrid models using bio-inspired optimization techniques, deep learning architectures, and fuzzy-neural frameworks for scalable forecasting systems.
